Free- Tailor Made Volunteer Programs in Africa needed in
Job Description: Community Development: “placements might be building a school, setting up a water treatment facility, cleaning the streets or planting trees” Community development is one of the most diverse and rewarding volunteering experiences, providing volunteers to get involved with a huge range of activities from construction, to teaching abroad and even environmental conservation. Whether you’re working in a children’s home or with remote tribes in Tanzania, community development volunteering offers the chance to discover many different aspects of volunteering and make a truly positive impact on the lives of others. Bring your community and social development skills overseas and work with leading local grassroots non-government organizations and community based organizations that are creating an impact at the grassroots level. Help advocate, develop programs, monitor and evaluate success. Many of our volunteers work collaboratively with our local partners to identify areas of need within a community. On occasions this includes providing appropriate technical support to develop practical goals and achievable programs. Community development volunteering is also a way to have a completely authentic cultural experience as you live and work alongside the local people. Hope Development Volunteers’ projects are incredibly varied, flexible and constantly evolving so you’ll be able to help where it’s needed most and see the real value of your contribution. With our diverse experience in running community development projects in Africa, Hope Development Volunteers can find the ideal placement for you, wherever you want to go and whatever you want to achieve. Register with us, fill in the online application form and a volunteer adviser will get back to you to discuss your options and answer any questions. Volunteer on one of our community volunteering projects and get the chance to fully immerse yourself in a new culture within communities that need your help. Through our community volunteer work projects we help to facilitate sustainable development for disadvantaged, marginalized, and poorly educated members of society by utilizing local resources and by providing them with the education and skills they need to empower themselves to be self- sufficient. Communities across the world face a wide array of problems; little or no available education, no access to skill development, inadequate housing, poor sanitation, unobtainable medical help; the list goes on. Get involved and lend a hand to help poverty stricken communities throughout Africa.

Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
The idea behind our free-tailor made volunteering is simple but effective. You tell us your skills and interests and we find you a volunteering position that matches with your education, skills and interests. Usually, this only has to take three to five days. (No Program fees, No Accommodation fees, No Food fees) it’s totally a free culture and skills exchange program. You just share your skills, interests with the local community; they share their food and accommodation with you!!

How?
Instead of advertising a volunteering position to you, we advertise your skills to our projects. You tell us about your education, employment history and interests and our partners around Africa find you a volunteering position which enables you to draw upon these skills. We maintain an extensive network of projects and enjoy the full support of the local community in order to achieve high quality placements.

Why?
It just makes more sense to have volunteers doing things that they are good at. As a volunteer, you are a resource of development. In order to give you every chance of maximizing your contribution to development, you must be placed effectively. In order to be placed effectively, you need to be working in an area that fits your experience.

What skills are relevant?
Almost all university degrees or college status can be applied to development. Even if you are still an undergraduate, the knowledge you possess has practical applications. Almost all professional backgrounds can be made useful to development. If you have other skills and interests, in many cases they can also become effective tools of development.

If you want to find out how your knowledge and skills can be useful: contact us- info@govolunteerafrica.org

Tell us about your qualifications, your employment history and any other skills you possess. We will help you discover how your abilities can be made relevant to development in Africa.

Based on the information you provide us with, we will find you a suitable volunteer placement.
This really is the most effective way to volunteer and it does not cost you anything to find out what you could be doing. So pick up the phone or write us an email.
